Fabien Gabel has been appointed music director of the French Youth Orchestra for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He will succeed David Zinman, the head of the orchestra since 2015 and Fabien's teacher.
Gabel enters his fifth season as Music Director of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, and will have an extended U.S. and European presence, including performances with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, theLondon Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, as well as his debut with the Deutsches Sinfonie Orchester.
